Achieve your goals, wherever you are. Open Learning removes the barriers to quality post-secondary distance education by offering continuous enrolment, flexible scheduling and minimal admission requirements. Take one course or a complete degree program, and study at your own pace.
Traditionally, distance education has allowed students to access post-secondary education from wherever they are on their own schedule. At TRU, Open Learning, we make education more flexible by allowing you to enrol in a course or program whenever you like, so there is no need to wait for a particular semester to register. TRU-OL also has few barriers to entry, so in most cases, students planning to take courses and transfer the credits to another institution can register without submitting transcripts. You may also apply past credits towards many of TRU’s certificate, diploma and degree programs.
